There are many reasons that will encourage customers to upgrade to Windows Server 2003. Any customer who considers upgrading will be looking for both the technical advantages it brings and for the key benefits upgrading will have on their business. To address this, we have prepared two distinct versions of the campaign. Each set contains powerfully worded messaging that makes a strong case for upgrading to Windows Server 2003 with the emphasis on either technical benefits or a mix of technical and business benefits. Following extensive research directly with customers, the messaging and writing style in both versions have been specially focused to answer the needs within your market.
|
| The campaign has been developed based on research carried out across Asia Pacific. We tested message comprehension and identified common themes that could be leveraged across countries. These results were used in creating the core messages of the campaign. Research showed that different markets called for different emphasis in the messaging, which is the key driver for presenting you with two versions of the campaign to choose from. |

| Both versions are directed at the Technical Decision Maker within your target organizations. The emphasis in Version 1 is solely on the Technical benefits of Windows Server 2003. Version 2 also addresses the Technical benefits, as well as including sound business reasons to upgrade. |

Basically, it's your call. If you feel that your customers are more likely to respond to purely technical data and have no need of reassurance from a business point of view, stick to Version 1. If in your region however, customers like to hear business reasons that supplement the technical advantages, then Version 2 is right for you.
While the messaging is different, the creative look & feel of each version is exactly the same therefore it is important that you select the version which is right for you and stick with that version.
The two versions are entirely separate and we do not recommend that you use both as it will confuse the target audience. |

| The primary focus of this campaign is your existing customer base-your current "managed" customers-the customers you work with today running on Microsoft® Windows® NT® Servers and Windows NT-based Small Business Servers. Windows Server 2003, provides a comprehensive server platform that is easy to deploy, manage, and use-and helps businesses to lower TCO. All good reasons targeted at small to medium sized businesses. Windows Server 2003 helps organizations achieve the greatest return on their server investments. Which means your customer base comprises every existing server customer who is interested in reducing costs while increasing security. |

Whether your preferred format for approaching customers is through email, fax or business letter we have ready-made materials for you to use. All you need do is add in your own attractive offer message in the space provided. If you are a certified partner we recommend that you highlight this fact. To follow up, there is also a DM postcard and a brochure. The brochure gives your potential customers a comprehensive view of the benefits whether they are upgrading, migrating or whether this is their first server product. Obviously you don't need to use all the collaterals, just select what you feel will make the biggest impact on your potential customers.
