The list was published in the Financial Times the next day. Microsoft ranks among the top 10 best workplaces in Finland (1), France (3), Italy (1), Netherlands (“Gold” group), Norway (1), Portugal (2), Spain (4), Sweden (1 among large organizations) and the UK (5). Microsoft was also listed as one of the top three workplaces within the IT and Telecommunication Sector and among the top five in the sub category of workplaces with 250 to 1000 employees.

MTV Networks Unveils URGE Digital Music Service on Microsoft’s New Windows Media Player 11 Platform MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc., and Microsoft Corp. have unveiled the public beta of URGE and the new Windows Media® Player 11 beta to create an immersive entertainment experience which offers elegant visual navigation, improved music services and device integration. The new service will compete with Apple iTunes and RealNetworks’ Rhapsody. For years, MTV sat on the sidelines while Apple, RealNetworks and others racked up sales of music downloads.
